Rejection

I was alone

Nobody’s home

I was standing

on my own.

I walked through

the sala and sat

on the sofa

There remains the

fragrance of my grandma.

I waited to hear

for footsteps near

There was nothing

but silence screaming.

From the wall

down to the carpet

Only loneliness I get.

Where could they

possibly be?

Did they really

forget me?

I started asking questions

No way, this can’t be rejection.
