Destiny’s Call

We’re two different people
from different worlds apart
With one glance,
we touched each other’s hearts.

Could this be possible,
that a stranger can make
you feel like whole?

Or could it be the thing called love
that makes the feeling indescribable?

This may sound nonsensical
To them, it might be surreal
Yes, to us it’s for real.

We never asked for this feeling.
We never thought we would fall.
But maybe, just maybe
this is our destiny’s call.

Dying Inside

I was hurting, bleeding inside
This affliction within won’t subside.

I tried to pretend
no one does comprehend.

My favorite line is “I’m Okay”
yet, nobody discerns what I mean to say.

I smile.
I laugh.

Sure, they didn’t descry
how vanquished I am inside.

When will they ever glimpse
the reality behind my spurious smiles?

Have they not perceived
that I’m slowly dying inside?

Morning Feels

Clock alarming at six
Eyes slowly open with emotions mixed.
I can see the birds from my window
I can hear my Mom calling from below.
The smell of the aroma
of fresh coffee made by grandma;
The yelp of my dog,
telling me to go out for a jog;
This is what my morning’s always like.
My body’s getting numb
It’s hard for me to overcome
the heaviness inside me
that’s just driving me crazy.
It’s like I lost my strength
that even getting up
is like the most difficult thing.

The Invisible Enemy

The whole world is in the midst of a battle
that made someone’s braveness crumble.
Blaming here, blaming there
Pointing fingers anywhere.
You can’t see them with your naked eyes
Worries and fear inside you arise.
You do not know when it’s coming
And you only hope for one thing
that your family would be spare
from the enemy waiting in just a corner.
This isn’t just a delusion
Yes, it’s a real situation.
People are striving to live
Day by day they try to believe
that one day soon this nightmare
would end.
